ABOUT THE ART
Formal Analysis

A vertical cluster of sunflowers rises toward a white hot sun. Wavy strokes ripple across petals, leaves, and sky, giving the whole image a shared pulse. Warm yellows and oranges advance against blues and violets, while a large foreground leaf anchors the composition near the viewer. Concentric rays around the sun echo the splayed petals below, linking the upper and lower fields. Transparent glazes, soft bleeds, and restrained value shifts make heat and motion carry the scene more strongly than outline.

Giao Analysis

The painting offers a Giao reading of orientation. Every form is shaped by its relation to light, yet no flower loses its own direction or contour. The shared rhythm is built from response, not sameness. This is a useful image for cultural connection: a field can be coherent without becoming uniform. Watercolor reinforces that idea because pigment, water, paper, and gesture continually adjust to one another. The work makes mutual influence visible as growth, energy, and attention rather than as a forced blending of identities.

Tanbelia Belashchuk

Tanbelia Belashchuk

tanbelia artist qart gallery profile pic

Tanbelia is a Ukrainian artist and sculptor, born in 1998, whose “wavy line” language turns fields, flora, and light into living rhythms. She makes nature the subject and the message, inviting viewers to feel their bond with land at sunrise and sunset, in hay bales, sunflower and buckwheat fields, and in the shimmer of wildlife.

Her aim is direct, to encourage people to protect and cherish nature, and to treat the Anthropocene as a call to responsibility, not an ecological fate. She works across painting and sculpture and also experiments with recycled paper, plastic, and unconventional media, extending the ecological spirit of the work. This outlook aligns with Giao’s emphasis on dialogue and connection between people and place.

For artists who think in decades, not feeds.

Giao is building something slow and deliberate - a space where your work lives alongside Classics and Contemporaries, the art that shaped it and the artists it will shape in turn. If you make work that asks questions, we'd like to know you.
