ABOUT THE ART
Formal Analysis

A small white sun activates the sky and sends rippling bands of color across mountain and scrub. Short wavy strokes give light, ridge, and vegetation the same restless pulse. Red and orange passages press outward from the sun, meeting violet and indigo slopes that hold the land in shadow. Yellow greens sharpen the foreground, while cooler dark passages settle back and shape the ridge. Watercolor shifts between soft bleeds and crisp accents, allowing glare, haze, and terrain to remain connected.

Giao Analysis

Giao is not confined to one geography. In this landscape, the method is carried through attentive encounter with another place, without pretending that distance disappears. Light, mountain, and vegetation remain specific to their own environment, while the painting translates their relation into a shared visual rhythm. That translation is central to Giao. It asks the artist and viewer to meet a place through care, interpretation, and humility, allowing its difference to remain part of the experience.

Tanbelia Belashchuk

Tanbelia Belashchuk

tanbelia artist qart gallery profile pic

Tanbelia is a Ukrainian artist and sculptor, born in 1998, whose “wavy line” language turns fields, flora, and light into living rhythms. She makes nature the subject and the message, inviting viewers to feel their bond with land at sunrise and sunset, in hay bales, sunflower and buckwheat fields, and in the shimmer of wildlife.

Her aim is direct, to encourage people to protect and cherish nature, and to treat the Anthropocene as a call to responsibility, not an ecological fate. She works across painting and sculpture and also experiments with recycled paper, plastic, and unconventional media, extending the ecological spirit of the work. This outlook aligns with Giao’s emphasis on dialogue and connection between people and place.

For artists who think in decades, not feeds.

Giao is building something slow and deliberate - a space where your work lives alongside Classics and Contemporaries, the art that shaped it and the artists it will shape in turn. If you make work that asks questions, we'd like to know you.
